After world war II, the pizza becomes famous in America. Furthermore, in 1957 frozen pizza was introduced. So, specifically Naples, Italy; is the birthplace of pizza.

The southern regions of Italy embrace hard-boiled spaghetti, while the north often prefers a soft egg noodle. Each religion in Italy still carries its traditions in cooking that reflects deep history and culture.

Types of Italian Pizza

There are different types of Italian pizzas. Some of the famous Italian pizzas are Napoletana, alla Pala, Tonda Romana, al Tagilo, Fritta, etc. Traditionally there are two types in which pizzas are broadly categorized, these are Marinara and Margherita.

Dough Making
  • Take yeast, sugar, salt and add in 200 ml of water in a bowl
  • Mix well to make a mixture
  • Cover the bowl with a lid and allow resting time of 10 minutes under normal temperature say 25 Celsius
  • Take 600g of flour and add the yeast mixture
  • Practice dough making process for at least 8 minutes and add more water if needed, add 4 tbsp of oil
  • Settle dough for 2 hours by wrapping bowl face with polythene transparent food-grade sheet. After then, again knead the dough for a couple of minutes

  • Take a bowl and add cubic form, size reduced chicken
  • Add yoghurt, coriander powder, mixed spices, black pepper, salt, red chilli, lemon and mix it thoroughly
  • Allow rest time for 20 minutes
  • Take a pan, preheat the pan and add oil
  • Add marinated chicken in the pre-heated oil. Fry it till the colour of chicken converts to brownish. This process takes almost 4 to 5 minutes
  • Dish out the fried chicken

  • Take pizza pan, add dough and set it here properly
  • Paste the sauce on the top of the whole dough
  • Paste the crushed cheese as a topping
  • Furthermore, add equally capsicum slices, tomato slices, onion slices, olives, pepperoni, and bacon for the topping
  • Place the unbaked Pizza in the oven
  • Recommended oven temperature for pizza is 260 Celsius  for 25 to 30 minutes
  • If you need a crunchy pizza, so you have to preheat the oven for 5 minutes before placing the unbaked pizza pan

How to eat Italian Pizza

The eating pattern or style of pizza varies from person to person. Some people feel comfortable to eat pizza by their hands; by folding a slice and putting it into their mouths. While other uses forks and knives to eat pizza. Adding more, after the pizza is served, cut into two halves by using a knife. Otherwise, you can make a small cubic shaped slice. Take a fork and a knife, smoothly, cut a piece with a knife and uplifts with a fork till it reaches your mouth. Additionally, you can use sauce, ketchup or other spices that adds more taste to the pizza.

In Italy, the adult enjoys wine and children’s relish soft drinks during eating pizza.
